Internship Opportunities
Unless otherwise specified, all opportunities listed are available in Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, and St. Joseph counties.
Nursing Home Resident Advocate (Ombudsman Intern): Receive training in the Ombudsman Program and assist in the work that supports all residents of all nursing facilities in our five (5) county service area.
Client Care Advocate (Guardianship Intern): Receive training in the Guardianship Program and assist in advocating for those whom the agency has become the legal guardian; in Marshall and St. Joseph counties.
LINK-AGE/Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Intern: Assist with calling, updating, and developing new resources, and data entering of all information; marketing, building community partnerships, and making presentations.
Case Management Intern: Assist Case Management in their various capacities as they work with numerous funding sources and services to provide our clients with the best care possible, and the best, and least restrictive, living situations possible.
Clerical (Data Entry, etc) Intern: Data entry and other clerical assistance are always welcome and needed by many of the programs in the agency.
Home Respite Companion: Spend some time with a client so that the primary care giver has an opportunity to take a much needed break.
Friendly Visitor: Provide several hours of companionship to lonely and homebound individuals.
Housekeeper: Provide several hours of assistance on your visit by doing simple tasks such as dusting, mopping and changing sheets.
Other: Other opportunities could be developed to meet Interns educational needs.
